AGD PACE Approval

PACE (Program Approval for Continuing Education) is a program of the AGD which is a credentialing mechanism for continuing dental education (CDE) organizations (not speakers or individual course content). CE credit from PACE approved programs are accepted by dental licensing boards throughout the United States and Canada for re-licensure for nearly all dental professionals, not just dentists. Also, AGD members can earn the prestigious Fellowship and Mastership awards by earning CE credit from PACE-approved organizations.

There are two levels of PACE approval, depending on the scope of a program’s influence:

National PACE approval, is administered by a 12-member council of dental professionals and is awarded to those programs offering courses in more than one state or province.

Local (Ohio) PACE Approval

Local PACE approval, is administered by the state AGD. The Ohio State Dental Board has recently discontinued their own credentialing of biennial CE programs therefore AGD PACE and/or ADA CERP approval is being sought by many CE providers within the state.

Local (Ohio) PACE Application Fee

Local PACE applicants are assessed an application fee, which is payable online.
